Optimization of linear cavity femtosecond dye laser design

Abstract

We have designed and constructed a two jet, six mirror, linear cavity, synchronously pumped, femtosecond dye laser, with four intracavity prisms for tunable group velocity dispersion. The dye laser used Kiton Red gain, DODCI saturable absorber, and frequency doubled cw mode-locked Nd3+:YAG pumping.
