Abstract

A high performance spatial light modulator (SLM) is expected to be a key device in realizing optical computing. SLMs must satisfy several requirements such as real time controllable logic and memory operations. Ferroelectric liquid crystal (FLC) is a promising material because of its bistability and fast switching.
