New emission spectra from chemically excited oxygen and its possibility of lasing

Abstract

Recently we discovered new visible and near IR emission spectra from chemically excited oxygen. The new emission interests us because it implies the possibility of lasing1 as well as the existence of stable oxygen dimers.2
