Fluorescence measurements in identification of vascular tissue daring laser aided ablation

Abstract

Identification of the tissue being ablated during laser angioplasty may develop a new body of knowledge regarding atherosclerotic lesions.1,2 Laser-induced fluorescence spectroscopy may provide an on-line rapid method of tissue identification.
