Abstract

Titanium doped sapphire (Тi:Аl2О3) has proved to be a reliable alternative to tunable dye lasers in the near IR region of the spectrum. The large gain bandwidth and wide tunability1 (680-1000 nm) makes Ti:Al2O3 an ideal material for stable ultrashort pulse generation.
