Abstract

The equilibrium concentration of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the Earth's atmosphere is determined in many respects by the biomass of the phytoplancton that produces 2/3 of the total oxygen of our planet. Due to modern ideas, the amount of the phytoplancton is connected with the iron concentration in water and this fact makes, in principal, possible an artificial regulation of ocean oxygen productivity,1 and that is why remote inspection methods of Fe contents are of great importance.
