Improved divergence of high-power gas laser radiation based on phase conjugation on SBS.

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Results of computational modeling of phase conjugation of SBS are presented. Calculations have been done by using three-dimensional code for a case of steady-state scattering of linearly polarized radiation when approximating a given pump field. The pump depletion effect is taken into account in a two-dimensional problem. We discuss the quality of phase conjugation at SS in a wave guide and in focused beams for beams with speckle structure and wave-front distortion typical of Zeidel aberrations (spherical, coma, astigmatism). Calculation results on increments for generalized Stokes modes analogous to Bloch functions in crystals are given.
