Abstract

At VNIIEF laser fusion studies are conducted on photodiseociation iodine lasers ( λ =1.315 μm), In 1989 30 kJ were obtained in a 0.25 ns laser pulse on the 12-channel laser system ISKRA-5 [1]. Since 1980 experiments have been conducted on the one-channel 4-beam 10 TW laser system ISKRA-4 in which targets of various kinds are irradiated (since 1985 also at a wavelength of 0.66 μm) [ 2-4] .
