Abstract
Reliable tunable single longitudinal mode (SLM) operation has been successfully demonstrated in high-power pulsed laser systems by using different methods. However the problem of frequency stabilization is still far from being solved when a cw injection seeding is not used. Here, we show how laser resonators terminating in a reflective high-finesse interferometer can both select and stabilize the output single frequency of a pulsed Nd:glass by mere thermal control of the interferometer length.
