Abstract

The soliton regime of pulse propagation in a. single-mode optical fiber has opened great possibilities for data transmission over large distances. However, the interaction of solitons can limit the maximum achievable transmission rate. To date, the so-called short-range soliton interaction has been well studied both experimentally and theoretically.
