Abstract
Some modifications of the electro-optic Q- switching1,2 are simple and cheap alternatives to injection-seeded lasers in obtaining single-longitudinal mode operation. They are realized by using a light signal, ejected by an intracavity polarizing element, which triggers a Pockels cell (PC) driver. A high degree of probability for single-mode operation can be thus realized.
