Abstract

Laser-pumped distributed-feedback dye lasers (DFLs)1,2 can generate transform-limited, ultrashort pulses over a wide range of wavelengths with very low ASE background.3 The use of broad bandwidth lasers such as excimers or other dye lasers to pump DFLs requires clever techniques such as those demonstrated by Bor4 and Szatmari.5
