Abstract

We report an investigation of frequency doubling with potassium niobate (KNbO₃) in an external buildup cavity driven by the light from a cw, Ti:supphire (Ti:Al₂O₃) laser. Measurements of conversion efficiency have been made over a range of operating conditions and have been compared in absolute terms with a simple theoretical model.
