Abstract
Laser diode-pumped, neodymium-doped lithium yttrium fluoride (NcLYLF) lasers are of interest in, for example, Q-switching, mode-locking, and intercavity doubling because of the strong 1-μm transitions of Nd in YLF. Single longitudinal- and transverse-mode operations in 0.75-mm thick plano-plano Nd:YLF cube lasers have been achieved at both 1047 nm and 1053 nm using laser diode arrays for pumping.
