Abstract

We have come to a competitive stage in developing frequency-doubling devices since the advent of blue-green II-VI semiconductor lasers.1 Organic crystal-cored fibers are expected as compact and efficient frequency doublers of III-V semiconductor lasers, because organic materials have high figures of merit and the Cerenkov-radiation-type phase matching can be used.
