Abstract

A large-bore copper vapor laser (CVL) with a beam diameter of 80 mm and a discharge length of 1500 mm has been developed for high-power lasers. By adding H2 gas to Ne buffer gas, both the output power and the beam pattern have been improved and the 118-W average power was maintained for 26 h.
