Abstract

Although the technology of generating femtosecond optical pulses is now rather advanced, our ability to manipulate or process ultra short pulses is still limited. Techniques for accomplishing linear filtering of ultra short pulses have been developed and have been utilized to precisely synthesize femtosecond pulse waveforms.1,2 Linear filtering techniques have also been utilized to perform matched filtering of specially encoded femtosecond pulse sequences.3
