Abstract

Additive-pulse mode-locking (APM), a well established technique for generating ultrashort light pulses, has been applied to numerous solid-state laser systems in the near infrared spectral region (see Ref, 1 and the references therein), in this paper, we report, for the first time to our knowledge, APM operation of the chromium-doped forsterite laser.
