Abstract

In this paper we report our efforts to build an all-solid-state laser source at 455 nm. We start with a frequency-doubled Nd: YAG laser at 532 nm and downconvert to 911 nm using art. optical parametric oscillator (OPO). The resulting 911-nm beam is in turn doubled to yield 455 nm. Injection seeding the OPO narrows the linewidth and provides tunability.
