Abstract
The generation of a terahertz electromagnetic pulse from a semiconductor surface1,2 using an intensive laser pulse has been of interest recently. Generation of short electromagnetic pulses in the picosecond regime and optical second-harmonic generation3 from a semiconductor surface were reported in the 1970s and 1980s. We recently proposed a theory
