Ultra-precise Focusing Multimodal Microprobes for Contact Laser Tissue Surgery

Abstract

Using numerical modeling it is demonstrated that chains of spheres with a refractive index of 1.65-1.75 provide two times more compact focused beams compared to single spheres under conditions of illumination typical for laser surgery.
