Quantum multiscale modeling of phase changes during femtosecond laser ablation of silica

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

A quantum multiscale model is proposed to reveal the ultrafast, non-equilibrium laser-material interactions, which consists of first-principles calculation, revised molecular dynamics simulation, plasma model and improved two-temperature model.
