A one-dimensional hybrid photonic crystal microcavity in the strong coupling regime

Abstract

We propose a new hybrid photonic crystal cavity structure for one-dimensional polaritons by integrating a planar high-index-contrast grating into a vertical microcavity. It can be readily scaled up to coupled quasi one-dimensional arrays.
