A Novel Optical Frequency Rectifying Device: Application as an IR and Optical Sensor

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

We propose a novel optical frequency rectifying device consisting of arrays of nanoscopic tunnel junctions made of sharp edged patch antennae or nanowires. Experimental and theoretical work shows the device can operate into the green.
