Terahertz spectra through ultrafast electro-optic modulation

Abstract

Ultrafast electro-optic modulation on a narrow band optical pulse is utilized to spectrally resolve coherent THz radiation. This technique utilizes standard optical components, providing a method of direct spectral reconstruction of both broadband and narrow band radiation.
