Slow light over 1,000 fractional pulses based on ultrahigh-order guided modes in symmetrical metal-cladding optical waveguide

Abstract

We demonstrate 1,400 fractional delay of sub-ps pulses based on ultrahigh-order guided modes in symmetrical metal-cladding optical waveguide. DBP value of 104 is obtained by material dispersion independent and wide bandwidth operation.
