Enabling Enhanced Emission and Low Threshold Lasing of Organic Molecules Using Special Fano Resonances of Macroscopic Photonic Crystals

Abstract

We present a novel optofluidic platform comprising organic molecules in solution suspended on photonic crystal slabs. Through macroscopic Fano resonances provided, enhanced spontaneous emission and low-threshold lasing of organic molecules were observed and theoretically analyzed.
