Carrier-envelope phase stabilization via acoustic frequency combs

Abstract

We demonstrate a novel scheme for improved feed-forward CEP stabilization of laser amplifiers. Synthesized acoustic few-cycle transients are used to stabilize the CEP of an optical pulse train at the amplifier repetition rate.
