Writing of bio-compatible silk patterns: 3D laser nano-printing

Abstract

Laser-printing of crystalline silk patterns in amorphous fibroin film is demonstrated by femtosecond-laser pulses 1030 nm/230 fs without use of photo-initiator. The same patterns can be achieved by ablation of the crystalline silk film. Amorphous silk can be used as a negative tone photo-resist.
