An Iterative Decoding Scheme of Concatenated LDPC and BCH Codes for Optical Transport Network

Abstract

An iterative decoding scheme of concatenated LDPC codes is proposed for optical networks. Simulation results show that a coding gain can be improved by 0.8dB compared to the conventional LDPC concatenated codes at a post-FEC BER=10−6.
