Abstract

We present a resonantly frequency-doubled tapered amplified semiconductor laser system emitting up to 2.6 W at 400 nm. The system shows 0.12% RMS RIN, and less than 0.15%/h relative loss over 16 hours. It can be stabilized, and the internal alignment can be optimized using computer-controlled mirrors.
