In-plane trapping and manipulation of ZnO nanowires on a metallic surface

Abstract

We achieve the in-plane trapping and manipulation of a single ZnO nanowire by a plasmonic tweezer system, which cannot be performed using conventional optical tweezers. Further numerical analyses are performed to reveal the mechanisms.
