Interband Cascade LEDs with Split Active Stages

Abstract

Midwave infrared ICLEDs with split active stages positioned at antinodes of the optical electric field are shown to generate up to 1.86 mW of output power and 0.3% wallplug efficiency in CW operation at 25 °C.
