Abstract

We demonstrate that repetitive frequency shifts of a CW laser in an acousto-optic modulator generate frequency combs with > 1000 mutually coherent lines. We report self-heterodyne interferometry with 500-kHz resolution, and precise dual-comb molecular spectroscopy.
