Abstract

Normal dispersion thulium-doped fiber was deployed in all-fiber setup to amplify pulses from a near-2 µm ultrafast fiber cavity. We demonstrated >27 dB amplification gain to generate ~525nJ pulse energy at 1852nm without pulse breaking.
