Abstract

We demonstrate a supercontinuum-seeded, phase-stable, 17-W mid-IR KTA OPA driven by a 1.4-ps Yb:YAG thin-disk laser. The seeding scheme simplifies the architecture and its performance is demonstrated by sensitive detection of photon signals from ZnSe.
