Low Energy Hollow Core Fiber Pulse Compression Using Molecular Gases

Abstract

We show that hydrofluorocarbons can be used for efficient hollow core fiber pulse broadening. Fivefold compression, 45 fs down to ~9 fs, of low-energy titanium-sapphire laser pulses (~16 µJ) is achieved.
