Raman Laser in a Lithium-Niobate Microresonator

Abstract

We demonstrate a multiwavelength Raman laser in a monolithic lithium-niobate microresonator. The first Raman oscillation is observed at a continuous-wave pump threshold power of 20 mW with a differential quantum efficiency of > 45%.
