Double Al nanoparticle array for enhanced absorption in thin film GaAs solar cells

Abstract

The effect of single and double Al nanoparticle array on absorption of thin film GaAs solar cells is investigated by FDTD method. Plasmonic action of double array yields a maximum absorption enhancement factor of 1.74.
