Abstract

As a novel far-infrared inspection technique, the terahertz (THz) polarization spectroscopy is becoming an important development direction and is attracting considerable attention, which can identify the anisotropy of substances in the THz frequency range. In this work, a practicable THz polarization characterization method is proposed based on the longitudinal field Ez of a focused THz wave. By using this method, the arbitrary uniform polarization state of a THz field can be accurately identified in a single measurement.
