Abstract
Nowadays in few-cycle laser systems reaching for ultra-high intensities, the final step of compression of stretched extreme broadband pulses is usually done by chirped mirrors. To find out the actual effects of these mirrors to the spectral phase of the laser pulses, it is essential to measure their Group Delay Dispersion (GDD) with high resolution. These mirrors are designed to have a constant GDD over the required spectral bandwidth, and in some cases, the flat GDD is ensured by pairs, where the ripples in GDD are offsetting each other. Most manufacturers provide simulated GDD curves, but it is crucial to verify their quality experimentally. In this paper, the measurement of such a chirped mirror pair is presented with 0.03 nm resolution over 700-1450 nm spectral range.
