Ultrafast quantum beats of linearly polarized excitons in two-dimensional ReS2

Abstract

We observe quantum beats of excitons in atomically thin ReS2. Our observation directly confirms the quantum coherence between anisotropic excitons which are linearly polarized with different orientations.
