Wide spectral tuning range in an Anderson localizing fiber laser

Abstract

Wavelength sensitivity of Anderson localized modes in a disordered optical fiber is exploited to obtain a tunable fiber laser. The lasing wavelength varies upon excitation of various localized modes across the fiber.
