Anisotropic Polarization Dependent High Harmonic Generation in the Ferroelectric Crystal BaTiO3

Abstract

We generate high-order harmonics from femtosecond mid-IR pulses in ferroelectric BaTiO3 crystals. We find that odd and even harmonics’ intensity and polarization behave differently when rotating the input polarization with respect to the crystal axes.
