Exceptional Points of Degeneracy in lossless Periodic Coupled Waveguides

Abstract

We present general aspects of exceptional points of degeneracy (EPD) of order 2,3, and 4, that appear also in lossless periodic waveguides. We report unconventional scaling of the quality factor in coupled resonators optical waveguides.
