Visible-telecom photon pair generation with silicon nitride nanophotonics

Abstract

We demonstrate a silicon nanophotonic chip that generates high-quality, narrow-linewidth photon pairs that link the visible and telecommunications bands. This device has potential for use in communication and entanglement of remote quantum systems.
