Abstract

Silicon microring photon-pair and heralded single-photon generation is reported with a spectral brightness of 1.6×108 pairs/s/GHz/mW2, achieving record CAR > 12,000 and heralded second-order self-correlation g(2)(0) < 0.006. Franson interferometry was used to verify time-energy entanglement.
