Security verification for vacuum fluctuation based quantum random number generator

Abstract

We demonstrate a gigahertz source of verifiable quantum random numbers based on homodyne detection of the vacuum state. Using a whitening filter, we generate iid samples with a potential randomness rate of 20Gbit/s.
