Abstract

We design a waveguide-based Geiger-mode silicon single-photon avalanche diode (SPAD), optimized for visible wavelengths. We simulate photon detection efficiency and timing jitter with 2D Monte Carlo simulator for SPADs with different widths and bias voltages.
