All-optical Wavelength Conversion of Phase-encoded Signals in Silicon-rich Silicon Nitride Waveguides

Abstract

We show the design and characterization of a silicon-rich silicon nitride-based all-optical wavelength converter, for phase-encoded signals. We demonstrate successful conversion of a 40 Gb/s 16-QAM signal with negligible penalty and no-signs of TPA.
